A Conversation With Justin French About Faith, Business and Giving Back

For Justin French, CEO of SDIRA Wealth, real estate investing has always been about more than acquiring properties. It is about helping people build greater financial freedom—and using that success to make a difference in the lives of others.

We sat down with Justin to discuss how growing up in ministry shaped his approach to leadership, what he has taken away from Tim Tebow’s recent podcast conversations and why he believes every property can help build two futures.

Tim Tebow has recently spoken on several major podcasts about faith, purpose and serving others. What has stood out to you?

Justin French: The audiences and conversations may be different, but the message underneath them is remarkably consistent: success is not the final destination.

On Passion + Purpose with Louie Giglio, Tim spoke about finding his true calling, moving beyond personal achievement and fighting for forgotten people. On Built 4 More, he discussed keeping Christ at the center of his life and the responsibility we have to protect vulnerable children. His appearances on Almost Athletes with Dude Perfect and the Shawn Ryan Show brought those conversations about faith, family and protecting others to even broader audiences. The message I continue to hear is that our accomplishments are not only for us. We have a responsibility to use the opportunities, relationships and resources God gives us to help other people.

That challenges all of us to ask a deeper question. It is not simply, “What have I accomplished?” It is, “What am I doing with what God has placed in my hands?”

Why does that message connect with you personally?

Justin French: I grew up around ministry as a pastor’s kid. Faith, generosity and serving others were not ideas we discussed only on Sundays. They were part of our everyday lives.

I watched people give their time, resources and energy to help others, often without expecting recognition or anything in return. Those experiences shaped how I see leadership today.

My career ultimately led me into business, real estate and entrepreneurship, but the foundation of faith and service never left. I do not believe business and ministry have to exist in completely separate worlds.

A company can perform at a high level, create opportunities, serve its clients exceptionally well and still be used to help people beyond its immediate business.

How does faith influence the way you lead SDIRA Wealth?

Justin French: Faith affects how we treat people, how we make decisions and how we define success.

At SDIRA Wealth, our first responsibility is to serve our clients well. We help people create personalized real estate strategies, acquire properties designed for investors and build toward greater financial independence.

But success cannot be measured only by the number of properties we build or sell. It must also be measured by the experience we provide, the relationships we create and the impact we make.

We often say that we are an education-first company focused on customer experience. We just happen to sell real estate. That mindset keeps the focus on people instead of transactions.

Faith reminds me that leadership is stewardship. The company, the platform and the opportunities we have been given should be used responsibly and for something greater than ourselves.

Why does SDIRA Wealth support the Tim Tebow Foundation?

Justin French: We connect deeply with the foundation’s mission and its willingness to go into difficult places to serve people who are often overlooked.

The Tim Tebow Foundation works to bring faith, hope and love to people in their darkest hours. Its primary areas of focus include fighting human trafficking and child exploitation, caring for orphans, helping children with profound medical needs and serving people with special needs. These are individuals facing circumstances many of us cannot imagine. They may be hurting, marginalized, exploited or unable to fight for themselves.

What stands out to me is that the foundation does not simply acknowledge those needs. It acts. It enters difficult situations, provides practical care and reminds people that they have value.

We also appreciate how clearly that work is connected to faith. It is not simply about making a charitable contribution. It is about loving God, loving people and putting faith into action.

What does it mean when you say SDIRA Wealth gives back with every property?

Justin French: It means generosity is built into what we do.

Justin French: It begins with understanding that wealth is a tool.

Financial freedom can give people more choices, more control over their time and more opportunities to care for their families. It can also create greater capacity to support a church, fund ministry, serve a community or help someone facing a difficult situation.

That is why we want people to think beyond simply purchasing an investment property. What are you ultimately trying to build? Who do you want that success to help? What kind of legacy do you want to leave?

Real estate can be part of the answer, but the property itself is not the ultimate purpose. The purpose is what that property makes possible.

How do you define success today?

Justin French: Success means helping our clients move closer to their goals while operating with integrity and excellence. It means building a company our team is proud to represent. It means creating opportunities for our partners, employees and communities.

Most importantly, it means being faithful with the opportunities God has placed in front of us.

We will continue helping people build portfolios and pursue financial freedom. We will also continue giving back with every property because we believe what we build should extend beyond ourselves.
